After practising as an accountant for over 30 years, during which time he formed and developed a number of service related businesses, Reg Gillard now focuses on corporate management, corporate governance and the evaluation and acquisition of business especially in the resource sector. Reg is the Deputy Chairman of Moto Goldmines Ltd and the Chairman of Aspen Group Ltd, Caspian Oil & Gas Limited and Perseus Mining Ltd.
Reg has developed close contacts both in Australia and internationally with Investment Funds, Merchant Banks, Broking Houses and marketing organisations. Reg has been involved with listing and funding of several listed companies.
Reg has a Bachelor of Arts, is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a registered Company Auditor and a Justice of the Peace.
Mr Bennett holds a Degree in Commerce (UWA) and is a Chartered Accountant. He was formerly the General Manager Finance of Foodland Associated Limited, an ASX Top 100 company prior to its acquisition by Woolworths Limited and Metcash Limited in November 2005. Prior to working with Foodland, he held senior finance positions in public companies for over 20 years.
Mr Bennett's significant commercial expertise in corporate finance, corporate administration and overseas finance will greatly assist the EGL Board of Directors in the future. He is the chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee.
In the past ten years Mark has actively run the corporate administration in the role of a number of companies as Company Secretary. He has managed utility companies in Australia and overseas, both management roles have been with organisations whose turnover has exceeded A$ 1.0 bn per annum.
Mark has a science background plus a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the South Australian Institute of Technology (awarded the Prize for Marketing), attended the Advanced Management Programme (SEP 1983) Stanford University California and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
He has held senior executive roles in many industries and undertaken "corporate doctor" management and mentoring of medium to large businesses. These have included being the President of the Board of the Chile Telephone Company, residing in Chile for 3 years, CEO Bond Chile, and assisting in the management of Mineria San Jose / Mineria El Indio (produced 1/4m oz gold; 1/2m Mt Copper p.a.) and advising a number of small business mining related enterprises in Australia.
Mr Robertson gained a Bachelor of Business from Curtain University in WA and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University in NSW. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Secretaries of Australia. Mr Robertson has experience as a Company Secretary and in transactions management. He has also been involved in management of the ASX listing process and several specific asset transfers, general accounting for public companies and preparation of financial statements.
